Our Mission
Freehold Area Open Door seeks to assist the most vulnerable among us. Our goal is to meet our clients where they are, address their immediate needs, and then provide support as they develop skills to become self-reliant.
Your tax deductible donation will help us reach the most vulnerable among us.
The food pantry is only part of what we do.

Rental and Utility Assistance Our Advocacy Director helps clients with rental and utility assistance, to keep people in their homes and keep the lights on.
After School Program Our After School Program assists elementary school students with their homework, Scholarship Program Years later our Scholarship Program rewards the After School Program students with funds for college.
Birthday and Holiday gifts Open Door provides birthday gifts for the children of regular clients, ages 6 to 16, who live within our service area. Holiday gifts are made available to those same families, for ages newborn to 17.
Senior Treats Our homebound Seniors receive special treat bags on holidays.
Delivery Program The delivery program services clients who cannot get to Open Door.

Blessing Bag Brigade The Blessing Bag Brigade provides toiletry kits which we add to our "Care Bags" for clients who lack stable housing.

CentraState Medical Center Open Door has hosted on site vaccine clinics for CentraState.
​
Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine St. Roberts is available 7 days a week, 7am to 7pm to receive Open Door donations. Additionally St. Robert's supports our Advocacy Program, Holiday Gift Program, and is there for us all year long.

Community Arts Center of Freehold Gramercy Brass Orchestra of NY, Open Door and the Reformed Church of Freehold have partnered to provide quality arts and arts education programs, including a summer music camp.

Freehold Area Running Club The running club has been keeping the community in shape since 1984. Each year they donate the proceeds from the Born to Run 5 miler to Open Door.

Freehold Food Safety Net Open Door and other area nonprofits work with the Mayor's Office to coordinate access to food five days per week.
​
Habitat for Humanity Habitat has provided the truck for ShopRite's special "Fill The Truck" grocery drive.
​
Knights of Columbus The Knights provide winter jackets for our Holiday Gift Program, run food drives, and pitch in for us throughout the year.
